About the Creator

Self Storage Investing Experience

Wade Garrott created StorageThought to help new and experienced self storage investors with all aspects of self storage investing.  While always having an interest in real estate investing, he became interested in self storage investing while earning his Bachelor of Science in Finance at Virginia Tech University.

In 2012, at the age of 26, he purchased his first self storage facility a few miles from Virginia Tech University.  Wade acquired a second facility in 2019, and is excited for his next facility acquisition in 2020.  Throughout the last 8-years, Wade has gained valuable experience, which he now shares on StorageThought.

Professional Experience

Professionally, Wade is a data visualization consultant, creating dynamic, efficient and actionable data visualizations through his knowledge of both computer graphics and Tableau. In addition Wade has years of experience in both computer security, business process improvement and process optimization.  He actively leverages his professional experience in his self storage investing.
